The equipment operates at different levels, using a hoist system to adjust the suction height and ensure efficient sludge extraction for recycling or disposal.
Large amounts of sludge accumulated at the bottom of effluent treatment lagoons need to be removed for treatment or recycling. The biggest challenge is the presence of rocks, branches, and highly compacted sludge at the bottom of the tank, which hinders the operation of sludge extraction equipment.
Genetica Bioscience developed a simple and cost-effective system with a submersible open impeller pump (eliminating the risk of suction failure), featuring level adjustment for gradual sludge suction. The equipment is designed to pump sludge over long distances.
