At the treatment plant, raw industrial effluent passes through a primary system, mainly consisting of screens. These screens are designed to remove coarse solids, preventing them from advancing and causing problems in equipment and accumulation in lagoons and tanks.
Genetica Bioscience has developed a study to verify the efficiency of the screening system, which also serves as a preliminary study of the effluent for better sizing of the solid separation system through physical phenomena.
See the importance of this study for taking actions:
Before complete filtration / After complete filtration
In the case above, the static screen retains fibers larger than 1mm opening and some other granulometries, totaling 19% granulometric retention, meaning 81% of solids are available for biological treatment of effluents.
